Woofstock is Richmond Animal League’s annual family-friendly & dog-friendly outdoor festival aimed at raising lifesaving funds and awareness for rescue & adoption. Last year, Woofstock saw over 2,000 attendees and featured 60+ vendors, a pet parade, pet adoptions, and live music! The RAL team is working hard on planning another wonderful event and we can’t wait to be part of it!
Join us and the Henrico Humane Society for the 23rd Annual Pet Expo, which will be held on Saturday, February 24 from 10 am to 4 pm at the Richmond Raceway Complex.
Pet Expo is a unique indoor event where people can bring their pet to enjoy a day of fun and excitement with the whole family.
Exhibitors will be on hand offering a variety of goods and services and activities are scheduled throughout the day, many of which involve pet participation.

The 5th annual Give a Dog a Job 5k fundraising event will be held Saturday, Sept. 16, 2023, at Main Line Brewery in Richmond VA. We are excited to be back at Main Line for a third year!
When you register for our 5K run/walk race, you’re signing up for much more than just a spirited event. You will be running and walking with your furry friends to support a great cause. You’ll be joining the Old Dominion Volunteer Chapter puppy raisers and service dog teams to put more highly trained service dogs into the hands of adults, children, and veterans who need them!
100% of race proceeds go directly to Canine Companions.
Canine Companions provides service dogs at no charge to those living with disabilities! Come on out and help us GIVE A DOG A JOB!
This is a family and pet-friendly event and we encourage human and pet costumes to make the morning fun! Prizes will be awarded for best-dressed human/dog.
The Doggie Dash is for our smaller participants. Children 4-8 years of age will have the opportunity to participate in an event just for them! The Doggie Dash is a 40-yard dash and participation is free for this event, each child will receive a prize when they cross the finish line. One parent is permitted to run/walk with a child.
Awards will be given to the overall fastest man and woman along with the top age group males and females. Team Awards are offered for Best Team Costume and the Team which highlights tremendous team passion along the course.

New in 2022, High School Challenge! Prizes and more! Students ages 13-18 can create a team of 10 or more students for a flat price of $50. High school teams are eligible to win air pods and gift cards!
New in 2022, two awesome virtual challenges! September is National Service Dog Month and there is no better way to celebrate than with a virtual challenge. Two options will be available and you can easily upload your results to keep track of your progress!

Twenty years ago, the Richmond SPCA boldly adopted a no-kill operating model and pledged to save the life of every healthy and treatably sick or injured homeless animal in our care. Saving thousands of lives while expanding our mission has been deeply rewarding work that we are eager to celebrate with our community. To that end, we invite animal lovers young and old to join us for a celebratory block party with a retro theme.
Hosted on the grounds of the Richmond SPCA, the day will feature live music, beer/wine trucks, food trucks, special activities for animal lovers of all ages, and a variety of vendors in our pet-friendly marketplace. Join us for a fun celebration with a nostalgic vibe that takes you on a journey through time to remember the pop culture dominating your radio, CD player, television and closet 20 years ago.
Ticket sales are $8 before the event, $10 at the gate, and free for children 12 and under.

We are thrilled to join Richmond Animal League again for the Annual Woofstock Festival, featuring live music, pet adoptions, games, and fun on Saturday, April 30, 2022 from 10:00am-2:00pm at Westchester Commons. This is a family friendly and dog friendly event that is FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!
